Hubungan Pola Makan Dan Olahraga Dengan Kesiapan Menghadapi Menopause Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Blang Bintang Kabupaten Aceh Besar
Menopause was known as the maximum and also last level of human growing stages. Some important factors to be considered in facing the stage were the eating habit and exercise done. The change in nutrition need was one of the changes occurring in the aging process. The need for energy usually decreased when human grew older. On the other hand, exercise also gave effects on the body health. A regular exercise helped stomach to work efficiently in disposing waste that was no longer needed by the body. This study aimed to reveal the correlation on eating habit and exercise on the readiness for facing menopause in Local Government Clinic (Puskesmas) in Blang Bintang, 2014. The study employed the analytic survey method with the cross sectional approach, in which design the measurement or observation were done simultaneously. The research took place on a Local Government Clinic (Puskesmas) in Blang Bintang, Great Aceh from June 27th to July 3rd, 2014. From 110 respondents, it was found that 50 respondents (45%) were not ready and 60 respondents (55%) were ready to face the menopause. Also, 56 respondents (51%) employed bad eating habit while only 54 of them (49%) employed good eating habit. Meanwhile, it was known that 63 respondents (57%) did not do exercise and only 47 respondents (47%) did. From the result, it was concluded that the readiness for facing menopause was affected by the eating habit and exercise. Key Words: The Readiness for Facing Menopause, Eating Habit, Exercise.
