Preschool age (3-5 years old) reactions to illness include anxiety, feeling of loss, body injury, and pain. Amongst of these children responds to hospitalization are refusing to eat, giving or sending frequent questions, crying, and uncooperative behaviors toward health workers. Hospitalization is often perceived as restriction to their activities which causing the feeling of shame, fear, aggressive attitudes, and angriness. This study was to determine the effect of play therapy on psychological conditions of the hospitalized pre-school children (3-5 years) at dr. Zainoel Abidin General Hospital Banda Aceh. This research with quasi experiment approach through pre-test post- test design without controlling. Results were analyzed by applying statistical parametric paired t tests. The results showed the relationships of pre-school children psychological conditions (3-5 years old) who are hospitalized before and after play therapy showed as positive correlation, with the value of 0.811 and p value = 0.000 t table of values ??(21.728> 1.69) or p Value < (0.000
