Faktor-Faktor Yang Berhubungan Dengan Kejadian Karies Terhadap Status Karies Gigi Murid D Kelas IV Dan V Di Wilayah Kecamatan Lueng Bata Kota Banda Aceh
Dental caries refers to a multi-factor etiology in which three major factors, Host, Microorganism, and Substrate, interact to one another in the mouth to form caries. Time, a forth factor, is regarded as an additional. However, aside of these direct factors, there are other indirect factors called the external factors that involve predisposition and inhibition to caries. These external factors include sex, level of education, environment and dental health-related behavior. The study is undertaken to analyze factors related to dental caries cases on grade IV and V students over the dental caries status in Lueng Bata sub district, Banda Aceh. The study is conducted in a survey format by using the cross-sectional design. The population of the study is all of grade IV and V students in Lueng Bata sub district, Banda Aceh with the total of 133 students of 4 schools available. The sample taken is appropriate enough since the proportional sample should be chosen for this study is 100 people. The study uses primary data collection obtained by the questionnaire, which directly asks the respondents to answer.The result of the study shows that dental caries status of grade IV and V students in Lueng Bata sub district, Banda Aceh is moderate 67%.
