Riwayat Radang Gusi Pada Ibu Hamil Dengan Risiko Kejadian Bayi Berat Lahir Rendah (Bblr) Di Rumah Sakit Wilayah Kota Banda Aceh
LBW is one of the causes of morbidity and mortality in neonates. According to WHO, there are 5 million neonatal deaths each year and is most prevalent in developing countries is around 16 % per year. One of the causes of low birth weight is low and oral health care. To determine the incidence of low birth weight on the risk of pregnant women who have a history of gingivitis in General Hospital dr. Zainal Abidin, KESDAM, and Women's and Children 's Hospital in Banda Aceh. A case control study design. Sampling using accidental sampling method. The total sample of 30 infants for each case and control. Data was collected through questionnaires. Statistical analysis used was Chi square test and Odds Ratio. The results showed that there was a significant association between a history of gingivitis with LBW (P value: 0.03). LBW risk by 4 times in women who have a history of gingivitis (OR:4.000). There is a relationship history gingivitis in pregnant women with LBW and 4 times greater chance than women who do not have the history of gingivitis. To be able to inform healthcare workers of prevention and treatment of gingivitis, thereby reducing the risk of incidence of low birth weight babies.
