ABSTRACT
Background: Adolescent girls often experience menstrual cycle disorders such as
irregular cycles, pain, and abnormal bleeding. The WHO notes that 75% of
adolescent girls experience this, which is related to nutritional status and anemia.
In West Aceh, 34% of adolescents suffer from anemia and 14% are malnourished.
Initial data from SMPN 1 Woyla Barat indicates that most female students
experience irregular menstrual cycles, which can impact reproductive health and
future quality of life.
Objective: This study aims to identify the determinants of menstrual cycle
disturbances among adolescent girls at SMPN 1 Woyla Barat, Aceh Barat, in
2025.
Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed, involving 39
female students from the eighth grade.
Research Results: There is no association between physical activity and
menstrual cycle disorders in adolescent girls with a p-value of 1.000 (p>0.05).
